The Federal Government has commenced the distribution of 2,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tricycles as part of its Renewed Hope Agenda. This initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable development, creating job opportunities, and reducing transportation costs for Nigerians.
In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a more prosperous and equitable Nigeria, the government’s investment in CNG technology is expected to have a significant positive impact on the economy. By transitioning the transport sector to cleaner fuels, the government is taking a proactive step towards addressing environmental challenges and improving the quality of life for citizens

Eligibility Criteria
Beneficiaries of the Presidential CNG Initiative must complete sensitization training on operating and maintaining CNG tricycles. They will also have the opportunity to engage with aggregators, who coordinate with associations and Pi-CNG to facilitate the tricycles’ ownership process. Participants can earn income immediately, with the potential to own their tricycles over time, depending on the terms set by their aggregators.
